Samantha is currently on maternity leave and expects to return to the office early summer 2024

Samantha is an NCCAOM board certified acupuncturist licensed in New York. She received her Master’s degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM) from Pacific College of Health and Science (PCHS) where she spent four years studying acupuncture, Chinese herbalism and Western medicine. To deepen her knowledge and further promote the integration between Eastern and Western medicine, Samantha is currently completing her doctorate through PCHS and will gain the title of Doctor of Acupuncture with a Chinese Herbal Medicine Specialization (DAcCHM) in July 2023.

The beauty of this medicine found Samantha after struggling with her own hormonal and digestive diagnoses that negatively affected the quality of her life. Through acupuncture, Chinese herbs, and lifestyle modifications, Samantha’s mind and body began to gain its strength back and find balance. Her healing journey sparked her passion to help others physically and mentally suffering to become the best version of themselves through natural, proven methods.

It is Samantha’s mission to empower her patients to become a part of their own healing journey and support the body’s innate ability to heal itself. Samantha has worked with a wide range of patients, with a specific focus on women’s health, mental well-being, and pain management.

When not in the treatment room or studying, Samantha can be found spending time with family and friends, planning her next beach adventure or trying out a new workout class.

I grew up in an environment where Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is not just a means for wellness but an integral part of life. I studied TCM at the Pacific College of Health and Sciences, where I dedicated over 900 clinical hours to treating patients. Following graduation, my appreciation for TCM developed even further as I apprenticed with acupuncturists from Chinese hospitals, collaborated with Tui Na and massage therapists, and shadowed my uncle to glean insights into herbal expertise. China’s TCM landscape, distinct from that in the US, exposed me to a setting where patients received acupuncture treatments daily, and practitioners adjusted prescribed herbal formulas every few days. It was within this environment, characterized by frequent treatment sessions, that I gained a deeper understanding of the nuanced effects of acupuncture.

While my specialization lies in women’s health, fertility, pain management, stress, and weight management, I firmly believe that TCM holds valuable insights for every individual. The definition of wellness varies for each person, but the practical applications of TCM philosophy can enhance anyone’s life through small, impactful additions. My philosophy centers on the pursuit of health and balance with minimal friction and I am passionate about discussing how seemingly small changes, viewed through the lens of TCM, can make a significant difference. In my treatments, I utilize acupuncture, trigger point therapy, cupping, moxa, and Tui Na to harmonize and create balance in the body. Outside the treatment room, I enjoy practicing Qi Gong and being immersed in nature. I love discussing TCM and can’t wait to work with my patients on their unique journey towards optimal health!
